Executive Director: Joe Bauer, RN

Joe and his wife, Mary, began the journey that became Quiet Oaks Hospice House. Joe has almost 30 years of experience as an RN (many of those in homecare and hospice in both nursing and management). His passion is providing the best in end of life care. Joe's job is to ensure that Quiet Oaks Hospice House provides the best care to residents, while financially sustaining itself into the future.

Medical Director: Dr. Pat Lalley

Dr. Lalley, a Central Minnesota resident and physician for many years, is certified in hospice and palliative care and is an expert in symptom management. Pat's job is to work closely with Brenda and the nursing staff to make sure that Quiet Oaks Hospice House provides high quality medical care.

Director of Nursing: Rose Dwyer, RN

Rose brings years of nursing experience in hospice and nurse management. Her passion has always been hospice and end of life care. Rose's job at Quiet Oaks Hospice House is to manage all aspects of the nursing care provided. She is also the contact person for all resident admissions.

House Manager: George Hontos

George comes to Quiet Oaks Hospice House with years of experience in food service management and restaurant ownership. His job involves food preparation, house management for both the resident and family areas, and many other tasks related to maintaining the ten acres of property. George works almost entirely with volunteers who are recruited and trained by the Volunteer Coordinator.

Marketing Director - Tammy Moore


Tammy has more than 15 years experience working in marketing, brand development and communications within a variety of industries, including direct sales, higher education and healthcare. She works closely with the Marketing Committee and Executive Director to develop marketing strategies that create awareness, increase community engagement and raise financial support for Quiet Oaks.

Development Director: Amanda Larson

Amanda comes to Quiet Oaks after working 14 years with the YMCA.  Amanda has a passion for building relationships, providing support to families, and helping to ensure access and opportunity to families, regardless of financial means.  Amanda's job at Quiet Oaks is to work closely with the Development Committee and Executive Director to cultivate and develop sustaining financial support for the mission and movement of Quiet Oaks.

Volunteer Coordinator: Nancy Gohman

Nancy has been volunteering at Quiet Oaks Hospice House for the last two years. She has taken on the role of Volunteer Coordinator to recruit and train the volunteer work force that supports the responsibilities of the House Manager. Volunteers assist with cooking, cleaning, laundry, and many other tasks that are vital to the daily operation of Quiet Oaks. Nancy also provides ongoing management and recognition of the volunteers.

Financial Coordinator: Elaine Benusa


Having over 30 years of accounting experience, Elaine works closely with the Executive Director. She manages all of financial aspects of Quiet Oaks Hospice House, including Accounts Receivable, Account Payable, Payroll, maintaining Donor Records, some Fundraising activities, reporting to various groups, and other duties as called upon.
